The problem
Simone had been badly let down by her employer and her working environment had become very toxic. She knew she had a strong case for workplace discrimination as she had been so unfairly treated. She wanted her side to be heard but was also looking for justice and to make sure other people were treated more fairly than her in the future.
The solution
Simone talked to quite a few law firms before she spoke to Chris Henshall, a solicitor at Paul Doran Law. She said: “He had such a warm and professional manner that put me at my ease straightaway. I felt such a sense of relief that I had finally found someone who completely understood and supported my position.
“Chris was so down to earth and personable, he was clearly very experienced in this area of employment law. It didn’t take me long to feel settled and secure, which I hadn’t felt for a long time.”
The result
We talked Simone through the entire process and kept her updated regularly on the phone, with every detail discussed and confirmed by email.
The tribunal was successful, and she is “so happy” with the result.
In Simone’s own words
“I was dreading the tribunal, but Chris was a constant calming and reassuring presence, he definitely gave me the confidence I needed to present my case. I certainly couldn’t have got through the day without him.
“I’m now in a new role and feel valued at work. No matter what your job role or your grievance at work, it is always going to be a stressful and unsettling time to take your employer to tribunal but it’s worth persevering.
“I couldn’t recommend Paul Doran Law more highly to help you find your voice. I certainly wouldn’t have been successful without their professionalism and commitment. I’m especially thankful to Chris.”
